Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager will work with the CMO and the conference production team to manage the execution of Global Strategic Management Institute's (GSMI's) social media initiatives. They will be responsible for ensuring that GSMI's social media objectives are met.

Manage the execution of key social media initiatives and our online brand through social channels
Drive new revenue's via Social Channels
Work with event teams, CMO to plan, target, execute and manage promotions
Work closely with conference teams, event partners, events sponsors to coordinate plans for social media
Develop and execute lead management plan for key social platforms; Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook
This position will design processes and coordinate the monitoring and responding of social media sites in a manner that in furtherance of GSMI's social media strategy
Impeccable conversational writing skills with experience and understanding of how to provide great online customer service
Degree and/or experience in writing/marketing: journalism, PR, blogging or any other applicable trades
Editorial specialist; grammar mistakes are unacceptable
Ability to understand and connect with our customers: leaders of the worlds leading corporations
Goal oriented problem solver
Possesses the willingness and ability to receive and apply coaching and constructive criticism

We are seeking an conference producer that can join our team as a contractor and partner with us to build world-class conferences. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with overall project management and leadership of each conference produced. With our model, producers will take part in the profit of the event with the potential of making a significant income. At GSMI, we believe everyone should take part in the success of our events.
Building external industry-focused relationships
Networking with key industry executives
Development of flagship/major conferences
Monitoring and increasing net profitability on a monthly and yearly basis
Identification of key industry business issues and market trends, as well as key market figures
Linking and monitoring all project goals against key performance indicators
Project scheduling and risk management
Manage project resources across multiple business units and project teams
One or more of this type of experience (or experience that is highly comparable) is required:
Conference production experience is highly desirable but not absolutely necessary
Several years of market research experience (preferably B2B)
Experience writing articles - trade journals or B2B is a plus
Conference development experience (determining the intellectual content of the conference, NOT the logistical planning aspect)
Ability to conduct in-depth phone and in-person research interviews with business executives
Ability to translate key business issues into profit-focused, commercially-viable conferences
Exceptional organizational & communication skills
Superior research and writing skills
Strong networking & relationship building skills
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and enforce tight deadlines
Bachelor and/or advanced degree
1-3 years people management experience
